Myths of the Archetypes: An Intuitive Tarot Guide by Carolyn Winkler

After 15 years of teaching Intuitive Painting and painting along with my students every class I decided to stop teaching and be open to something new happening in my life.  When I did, this book came to me. I realized that the paintings I was painting all these years were Archetypes. They had messages and they matched the archetypes of the Major Arcana of the Tarot. Instead of these paintings  sitting in my studio gathering dust I wanted them out in the world helping people create a better life.  So Jacob Salzer and I worked on putting together this little book using 22 of the paintings so you can get a reading easily.  As Jung says “asking the question opens you up to the synchronicity of the the universe and you can get answers.”

So far it has been phenomenal.  Every time I did a reading or friends and family did one they got the perfect answer and it helped to solve the dilemma or problem they were asking about. It gave them a fresh perspective.  The paintings image, the questions and the haiku at the end all contribute to the power of the reading.

Here are some of the wonderful reviews people have written after reading and using my book and loving it.  The first one is by Sandra Harner PhD, the wife of renowned Anthropologist Michael Harner that I studied Shamanism with 40 years ago in San Francisco. It is because of her that I even began to teach and tell about it in the back of the book under Acknowledgments.

I have also been asked to do a presentation here in Portland for the Project Healthy Body Conference to 60 attendees and Jennifer Joffe founder of the project bought a book for every participant.  I’m looking forward to presenting this tool and showing them how it works.

So my path is opening up and moving in new directions.  If you would like to get a book and try it yourself just go toNew Book — Myths of the Archetypes: An Intuitive Tarot Guidelulu.com  Click on the link and Lulu will print and mail you one in a few days.

Below are the responses from people that read and loved my book and how much it helped them.  I am hoping it will do the same for you.  The first one is an interview by Georgena Grace on youtube.

“Dear Carolyn,

Thank you for sending me your book.  How glad I am that you took my workshop those many years ago!

I am humbled by your inspired choice to bring Intuitive Painting together with Jung, Haiku, and the Tarot.  I did the first exercise as you explained it.  The wisdom I received was profound; I am eager to use this process again and again.”

Warmly,

Sandra

“For anyone seeking to understand the underlying mysteries of life and living, in Myths of the Archetypes: An Intuitive Tarot Guide, Carolyn Winkler provides a way for each reader to find the answers they seek and further explore and understand the complexities of their lives. ‘Why do things happen to us? And what does it all mean? Where do I go from here?’ Through an artful, creative weave of her own extraordinary, intuitive paintings and the haiku poems inspired by them, she gives us a simple way to uncover the underlying circumstances that change and affect our lives. I have also found the Tarot intriguing if not mysterious, and this book has rekindled my interest in those images in a deep, meaningful way. Not only did I find her images and poems enchanting, but I’m amazed by the fact that, at any moment, I can turn to a page in her book without forethought and the image facing me brings a light into my own perplexity, be it known or unknown. For lovers of the Tarot, art, poetry, Jungian psychology, and so much else, this book is a wondrous gift to give and receive.”

“I love people that inspire personal development and the arc where we progress and grow through life, despite our potential pitfalls and setbacks. Carolyn Winkler is a wonderfully supportive human being, and humanity is greater with people like her. I deeply appreciate what she says in her introduction, where she encourages people to ‘get in touch with their authentic self and create a better life’, as everyone should be enabled to do just that. I highly recommend this book and its author.”

“Carolyn,

My name is Jennifer and I am a friend of Debbie’s (Cc’d on this email)! I also run the health program she is part of.

Debbie gave me your book and I absolutely love it! She was kind enough to give me your information and I wanted to see if you would be interested in working with us!

We are having the PHB Retreat in Portland over the first weekend in May, and I am wondering if you are available Sunday, May 7th!

I have a therapist, who Debbie knows, who does a lot of healing with art, and what I am hoping is to perhaps have the three of you lead us in some art based healing! There will be a bout 50 women, a really wonderful group.

I have some ideas, and if you are game we could all hop on a zoom call sometime next month!

But first I wanted to see if you were available and interested!”

Many thanks,

Jennifer

“I have just found the perfect book to gift to friends and family! Myths of the Archetype by Carolyn Winkler works as both an intuitive guide and a visual delight. I have studied Jung as well as tarot and I enjoy “pick a page” books for daily or situational insights. I have found that often the artwork in those books sadly detracts from the messages. Myths of the Archetype  transcends the average with exceptional artwork combined with an interactive message. Carolyn gives us questions to ask ourselves that bring us back to the meaning of the archetype we chose and how to deeply personalize it so it makes sense.

I highly recommend this book to have at home as a guide as well as a thoughtful gift for those you care about.”

“Carolyn Winkler’s deep understanding of the unconscious mind, intuition, haiku, and art- all gathered here in a most delightful book to prompt your inner knowing and assist in the most important journey of all: The discovery of one’s true Self.

The book is designed to pick up and open when seeking insight and guidance. The poetry and unique images invite you to enter deeper realms to find the treasure that speaks to you personally.

Mythos of the Archetypes: An Intuitive Tarot Guide Book offers guidance and insight to assist in the so-called ‘ordinary’ world, which becomes magical and extraordinary when we delve in with the gifts offered here.”
